i can't fucking stop drinking

2021.10.18 10:27 Firm-Cup-7195 i can't fucking stop drinking

I can't fucking stop...even when I have a great day for some reason i feel such a pull "as a reward". I somehow still after years think I'll just get 2 or 4 shots...and it always ends up drinking until i fall asleep. I feel so ashamed.

2021.10.18 10:27 chippiesopolis I need someone to give me an objective look on my marriage.

For context, I (21F) met my husband (22M) in high school and we got married shortly after I graduated high school. We had a happy and healthy relationship, and I completely trusted him. I never asked for his social, never checked his phone, and truly he didn’t give me a reason to question his character. Things were like this for 3 years, then one day I found some messages that completely broke me. He was in surgery and left me all his belongings, including his phone. I don’t know what possessed me at that moment but I had an intrusive thought and started scrolling through his messages on Facebook. I found messages of him exchanging pet names and lovey dovey texts to another woman. I confronted him about this, but he swears it is his cousin who he’s speaking to because her family has asked him to set up an arranged marriage so she can come to America. Given his involvement with his family, I had believed him (reluctantly). I healed from it 95%, I just think about it sometimes and it hurts me, and I also question whether or not I should’ve trusted him.
After that, however, more conflicts arises. We got married, and he started to become too comfortable. He started to neglect the emotional aspect of our relationship, and he would refuse to communicate with me on most of our problems. He says it’s because his way of dealing with interpersonal conflicts, and that he revisits the disagreements later when he is more calm, but we don’t really talk about it after I give him his space. I am no longer interested in trying to communicate with him anymore, which he does not seem to have a problem with anyway since we would continue to talk to each other like nothing has happened afterwards.
But recently the last straw that broke the camel’s back was my husband looking “corn” in an unhealthy amount and frequency. I have boundaries, and I can respect looking at it once in awhile, but he has had a problem with this before and I have communicated that it makes me extremely uncomfortable and insecure for him to do this, especially since he hides it from me and I would only know when we argue and he brings it up. He said he would try to fix this issue, and I have been patient with him throughout the process, but he is unwilling to really try and prevent himself from repeating the problem. When I ask him why or if he needs help, he would just blow up in my face and tells me I am not being understanding and sympathetic towards his problem. I feel guilty afterwards, so I didn’t speak about it again.
I think at this point I am checked out of our marriage. It’s just a matter of time before the chips fall and either one of us brings up separation. I think I fell out of love, but I cannot help but to feel anxious about the day when it will end. Even worse, I feel terrible that maybe he was checked out even before me, and that separating will not even affect him the same way that it will entirely ruin me. I just want someone from the outside to tell me if I’m being rational, if I’m truly out of love or if I am just saying that to shield myself from the potential of knowing my husband has given up on our relationship long ago.

2021.10.18 10:27 ray_ray1895 My mom chooses making us sick over not getting what she wants.

I am sitting in the train on the way home and my stomach is starting to kill me. After practically forcing me to eat (because she cannot sleep without us eating enough) she told me that my dad was so worried about me, because the seafood that she gave me (and really pushed me to eat) wasn't fresh anymore. Funny enough she doesn't see anything wrong with it and only says "We worry too much." Sure enough whenever we are sick, she's the first to complain about how horrible she feels because we are sick and she cannot sleep.
Rather than telling me that my older brother had abdominal influenza some years ago, she made me visit them. I got it, my then boyfriend too. She lamented how she couldn't sleep (I lied in bed, my whole body was hurting and I threw up several times). I cried, because I couldn't spend New Year's Eve with my best friend, because my mom ruined everything for me. She called my older brother to make him shut me up "because she couldn't take my crying". And now she wonders why her tears and everything she says only make us angry and we cannot get away from her fast enough.

2021.10.18 10:27 YeonjunsBrokenHair Help find anime with semi immortal guy(??)

I was reading this manga about a red haired or red eyed boy who was like emotionless. He was a ghoul i think and he had mad regeneration powers. He could get his head blown off or be cut in half and he would be good. He had this like weird shaped rock around his neck all the time. They said there were a few more of them and that they merge together or something i cant remember. There was also this blonde cat girl with blonde hair that kept following him around. There was a kitsune lady villan at one point. I remember the first episode being this guy pinting a gun to his head but deciding not to kill him for reasons i guess but he took him in and training him. I think he was hired by the boys family but i might be wrong so dont quote me on that. Its a manga but i know it has an anime adaptation. Its action i think seinen but i might be wrong. Let me know if you figure it out because it was really good.

2021.10.18 10:27 effieffie1 Pest snail help

Hello all :) There might be an obvious answer to this, please be kind I just want to be sure I do the right thing :) I've got a small tank with a nerite snail and also a fair amount of pest snails. I have assassin snails in another tank. This is probably obvious but if I put an assassin snail into the tank with the pest snails would they also kill the nerite? Is there another way to do population control without harming the nerite? At the minute I'm just taking the pest snails out by hand which I'm fine with doing but i wanted to check if I was missing a trick. Thanks so much in advance :)
