2021.10.18 08:32 nutribun Newbie here: Is buying the game right now worth it?

Game is nostalgic for me as I played D1 and D2 when I was a teenager, so I am looking to buy this game.
However, upon reading some of the posts and the way Blizzard handles the servers, is it worth buying the game right now? Or should I wait for the servers to be fixed and be stable?
Lives in australia if that info is needed.
Thank you

2021.10.18 08:32 rrrsssttt Looking for an "ideal" application launcher

I'm running into some issues with this and am hoping for a fix.
First I really like the new redesigned application launcher. It's a lot better than it is used to be and I only have one major complaint with it, you can't see all your menu options in one screen.
Its a design decision I've hated since MS implemented it in Vista. The "start" menu always looks so claustrophobic and I don't like it. Maybe resizing the menu, decreasing the spacing between the options, I don't know. But for that reason I can't use this menu, as improved as it is over its previous iteration.
Application Menu has been what I've been using ever since I discovered KDE. I love it; even though there's little innovation beyond windows 95 (though it does improve upon it in many ways), there are two major flaws with it
1.) When using with Latte Dock, for some reason several of the power controls vanish (like pwoer off and restart)
2.) And this is the major one: Menus often appear buggy: I've tried several plasma styles but they appear weirdly transparent and you need to go to another menu before coming back so Plasma can redraw that menu and often that fixes the issue. But the weird transdparency is super distracting, completely reduces legibility, and I don't like it.
Simple Menu is another good option and I'd keep but two complaints with it as well
Again with Latte, power controls are missing. But the annoying this is that menu headings are on the right hand side...why? So I need to pan left to launch the menu (most users have it on bottom left), then move the mouse right to go through various sub menus....I could happily use this if the menu headings were on the left side (like the default launcher).
Thoughts? I understand I'm being too nitpicky, but it is a search that I've been engaged in.

I love these zippered joggers I got last year from American Eagle. I would like to get more, but I now see that they've changed to an inferior design without zippers.
Does anyone know of a good quality pair of these elsewhere? Would like to get these for $30-50. I really like the zippers because I've had issues with things falling out of my pockets in the past. I'll be walking home 1.5 miles or so from work in them.

Homer Simpson caused the zombie outbreak! He was responsible for a nuclear meltdown that irradiated the food supply. The 2nd movie makes a weird point of mentioning pulling a homer as doing something really stupid or dangerous. Also in the first movie they say that the whole thing started when someone took a bite of a tainted hamburger.

2021.10.18 08:32 george-alexander2k Low speeds on Proxmox, 6x SSDs raidz1-0

I am using Proxmox for almost a year and I am very happy with it in every aspect.
A week ago an SSD that had Proxmox installed failed and I had to replace it with one Hard Drive: Hard Disk NAS SEAGATE IronWolf, 2TB, 5900 RPM, SATA3, 64MB, ST2000VN004.
My problem is that I have very low write/read speeds on raidz1-0 formed by:
3 x SSD Samsung 860 QVO 1TB SATA3 2.5 inch
3 x SSD Kingston A400, 960GB, 2.5 inch, SATA III
The ashift is 12, and blocksize is 8k.
I did the fio test and got the following results:
test: (g=0): rw=randwrite, bs=(R) 16.0KiB-16.0KiB, (W) 16.0KiB-16.0KiB, (T) 16.0KiB-16.0KiB, ioengine=psync, iodepth=1

Would it help if I add another SSD as cache?
I read that if I have an SSD pool, it doesn't help much.

Also, the memory usage is a bit high: 89.97%: 17.57 GiB of 19.53 GiB in Proxmox web interface, and a htop in the VM shows 4.81/19 GB used. Can I use some trick to bring this to a lower value?
